Massive power outages have begun in Crimea due to high demand
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, particularly in Yevpatoria and Saki, widespread power outages have been reported. The cause is said to be an overload of the power grid due to military facilities and the operation of electronic warfare equipment.
This was reported by the ATESH partisan movement on Telegram.
“Our agents are sending reports from occupied Yevpatoria and Saki. Starting on the night of April 3–4, power chaos began in the suburbs. First, the lights went out in the private sector, and by 7:10 a.m. on the 4th, the ‘circuit breaker’ was turned off in Yevpatoria itself. In Saki, there are strict schedules and outages,” the message reads.
According to the movement, the occupying authorities attribute the outages to “technical reasons,” but in reality, the system cannot handle the load from military infrastructure and electronic warfare.
“There is panic at headquarters—amid mass outages, warnings of a massive drone attack have appeared on all channels,” noted “ATESH.”
It is reported that on April 4, power was partially restored in Yevpatoria, but was subsequently cut off again for several hours.
In addition, mobile internet outages have been reported in the suburbs, as well as GPS malfunctions in the western part of the peninsula.
The day before, agents of the underground “ATESH” movement carried out a successful sabotage operation on a strategically important railway section connecting Bryansk with the Sumy region.
As a reminder, partisans of the “ATESH” movement destroyed a Russian electric locomotive in Bryansk.
"ATESH" also identified a Russian camp in Mirny.
