On the night of May 27, a series of powerful explosions rocked occupied Crimea. There are reports of air defense systems in action in Simferopol and a large-scale fire in Sevastopol.

Initially, the explosions were detected near Cape Fiolent. Later, reports of loud noises began coming in from Simferopol, where, according to local public groups, the occupiers activated air defense systems near the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant.
“This is already the third powerful explosion at Cape Fiolent in 10 minutes; it sounds like incoming strikes,” social media users reported.
Later, reports emerged of explosions and gunfire on the northern side of Sevastopol. There were also loud explosions near the Kacha and Belbek military airfields.
Explosions were heard again in Simferopol early in the morning. In Sevastopol, after at least four powerful strikes, smoke was observed in the area of Sevastopol Bay and Sapun Mountain.
In addition, reports emerged of a possible strike on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s Air Force on Gogol Street in Sevastopol.
According to local social media posts, a fire broke out there following the strike.
“As we previously reported, following the destruction of the Black Sea Fleet’s main headquarters, the Air Force headquarters is being used as the primary command center,” the report states.
There is currently no official confirmation of the consequences of the explosions or possible damage to military facilities.
