Power outages have occurred on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. The occupying authorities reported emergency power cuts and urged residents to limit their electricity consumption.
According to the occupying utility company “Krymenergo,” some settlements in the Northwest, Central, and South Coast power districts are without power. In particular, outages have been reported in Sevastopol, Alushta, Krasnoperekopsk, and Armiansk.
Local social media groups report that power supply issues arose following explosions and drone attacks. Meanwhile, the occupying authorities claim that power grids have been damaged.
Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor to the Gauleiter of Crimea, urged residents of the peninsula to temporarily turn off air conditioners and other energy-intensive appliances until emergency repair work is completed.
On the night of June 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military targets. Among the targets was a bridge near Henichesk, which the occupiers use to transport equipment and resupply their troops between occupied Crimea and the southern front.
In Taganrog, Russia, a power substation that supplied electricity to the “Atlant-Aero” defense enterprise was damaged. As a result, production lines involved in the manufacture of drones were disrupted.
