A state of emergency has been declared in Novorossiysk following a massive drone attack
On August 12, a state of emergency was declared in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation, following another massive drone attack.
“A state of emergency has been declared in Novorossiysk. After the threat of a drone attack had been lifted, I went to the sites of the damage to assess the situation and speak with residents,” Kravchenko confirmed.
According to the mayor, a command center has been set up in Novorossiysk to coordinate the work of all emergency services.
Surveys of the affected areas are also underway to locate drone debris.
Management companies and repair crews, according to Kravchenko, have already begun clearing the damaged areas.
The mayor stated that two water mains supplying Novorossiysk with water were damaged as a result of the attack.
As a result, the city’s water supply has been temporarily suspended.
Kravchenko also acknowledged that Russian air defenses spent the entire night trying to repel the attack by Ukrainian drones.
According to him, the strikes caused numerous fires to break out in the city.
At the same time, the Russian side has not yet released a full list of the attack’s consequences.

On August 12, Ukrainian drones struck a relay station for the Russian “Geran” strike drone control system in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. A number of other key Russian military targets in the occupied territories were also hit.
As of August 12, 2026, the Russian army had lost another 1,260 soldiers over the past day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released this data in its morning report.
Over the past day, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
