In September, the Defense Forces struck more than 11,000 targets at a distance of over 20 km for the first time, according to the Ministry of Defense

In September 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces intensified their strikes on targets deep within Russian rear areas and set a record for the number of Russian air defense systems destroyed, particularly radar stations. This marks the highest number of such strikes in the entire history of the “eBaly” program.

“Each result was recorded on video by the DELTA combat system and verified by the Brave1 defense innovation cluster,” the ministry noted.

As of the end of September, the Ukrainian military confirmed the elimination of 33,087 Russian occupiers.

Only in March and April 2026 were more enemy personnel killed or wounded.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense emphasizes that Russian troop losses are increasing not only directly on the front lines. Ukrainian units are increasingly striking targets deep behind enemy lines.

In September, the number of Russian targets hit at a distance of more than 20 km exceeded 11,000 for the first time.

Separately, a record number of strikes on targets more than 50 km away was recorded.

Most of these strikes targeted the Mariupol–Crimea logistics route.

This demonstrates the growing capability of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to strike key Russian military facilities far from the front lines.

Another significant achievement in September was a record number of Russian air defense systems destroyed.

In particular, the Ukrainian military destroyed the largest number of Russian air defense systems and radar stations since the launch of the “eBaly” program.

The Ministry of Defense specifically noted the destruction of a Russian air defense system at a distance of 552 km.

In September, Russian forces continued to change their tactics for deploying aerial weapons.

Despite an increase in the number of jet-powered UAVs launched, the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down 28% more Shahed drones than in August.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the “eBaly” program makes it possible to identify new ways to defeat the enemy, share successful combat experience among units, and more quickly implement defense innovations directly on the battlefield.

As a result, September 2026 set a record for the Defense Forces in terms of the number of Russian air defense systems—particularly radar stations—destroyed, and also demonstrated a further increase in strikes against targets deep within Russian rear areas.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on the program’s results.

On October 5 and during the night of October 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories. Among the targets struck were a telecommunications hub near Donetsk, a command post, a drone depot, and an ammunition depot.

Prior to this, on October 2 and during the night of October 3, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key facilities belonging to the Russian occupation forces. Among the targets struck were a storage, training, and launch site for attack drones, a command post, a river crossing, and a repair base.

Starting on the evening of September 29, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes against key military facilities of the Russian occupiers. Among the targets hit were a drone depot, a command and observation post, and enemy support facilities, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Operators from the 413th SBS “Raid” Regiment struck a Russian BM-27 “Uragan” multiple-launch rocket system in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The strike was carried out by Ukrainian drone operators.
