A fire at Epicenter in Zaporizhzhia was extinguished following a Russian attack

On August 12 in Zaporizhzhia, firefighters extinguished a fire at the “Epicenter” shopping center that was caused by a Russian drone strike. Firefighters battled the blaze at the site for a long time following the attack.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

“Emergency responders extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 10,000 m². They are currently inspecting and dousing the building’s structures,” the post states.

Firefighting efforts were complicated by the threat of repeat attacks, so rescuers were forced to suspend operations and take cover.

All emergency services were on the scene.
