A new special forces unit called "Scorpion" has been formed within the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has established a new special unit called “Scorpion.” Its primary mission is to respond rapidly to threats, violations of the law, and emergencies in the military environment.
The Military Law Enforcement Service emphasizes that the new unit was created based on wartime experience. Its members will undergo special training and carry out missions both in the rear and during martial law.
"Scorpion" will operate as part of the Military Security Service’s regional departments as a rapid response and strike force. It was created to respond promptly to high-risk situations and maintain order within the military.
The agency explains that modern warfare creates new challenges for the security of military units and facilities. This is precisely why there is a need for specially trained groups capable of acting quickly in complex conditions.

Among the Scorpion’s primary tasks is combating offenses within the Armed Forces. Unit members will participate in crime prevention, stopping illegal activities, and protecting military property from theft or damage.
Special attention will be paid to the security of military facilities. The General Staff notes that the special unit will also be involved in countering sabotage and potential terrorist threats. “Scorpion” must act quickly when a situation arises that requires an immediate response.

During a state of war or a state of emergency, the scope of tasks will be broader. In particular, the fighters will participate in identifying and neutralizing enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups on Ukrainian territory. The unit will also help maintain law and order and military discipline within military units.
The agency emphasizes that the experience of full-scale war has demonstrated the importance of a rapid response to threats of various kinds—from sabotage to internal disturbances. That is why such mobile groups are becoming an increasingly important part of the security system.

The General Staff reports that personnel undergo continuous training. During exercises, military personnel practice actions in crisis situations, scenarios for combating saboteurs, facility security, and conducting special operations. In addition to Ukrainian combat experience, they apply knowledge and skills gained during international training programs abroad.
The service emphasizes that modern threats are constantly changing, so the training of soldiers must also be constantly updated. That is why training is a continuous process. The Military Law Enforcement Service emphasizes that the main goal of “Scorpion” is to ensure the safety of military personnel and civilians.

The new unit is also intended to help respond more quickly to threats and maintain discipline within military units. “Scorpion” has become another element of the security system being developed in Ukraine based on the experience of full-scale war. The Military Law Enforcement Service is convinced that the creation of such mobile units will allow for a more effective response to complex situations and strengthen the protection of military facilities across the country. The Military Law Enforcement Service announced the creation of the new unit.
