Ukraine Is Compiling a Full Bill for Russia for the Damages Inflicted — Budanov

Ukraine continues to document the damage caused by Russia so that the aggressor state will compensate for it in full in the future.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President, emphasized that Russia must pay for every crime it has committed and compensate Ukraine for the costs of overcoming the consequences of the aggression.

“Russia must pay for every crime it has committed and compensate for every hryvnia spent on overcoming the consequences of the aggression,” Budanov stated.

He also noted that the International Register of Damages for Ukraine has begun accepting claims under new categories. These include, in particular, government expenditures on assistance to victims, evacuation, temporary housing, medical care, and demining operations.

“The enemy caused this damage—and the enemy will pay for it. Justice will be restored,” Budanov emphasized.
