Ukraine Is Ready to Consider a Ceasefire as Proposed by India — Sibiga

Ukraine has received four proposals for a possible ceasefire—from India, Turkey, Egypt, and the United States. Kyiv is ready to consider the Indian proposal, which calls for a broader ceasefire agreement.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga made this statement during a conversation with journalists in Kyiv, according to The Hindu.

According to Sibiga, Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire in the energy sector and in the Black Sea. He emphasized that the agreements should cover not only combat operations on the front lines but also attacks on energy and port infrastructure.

At the same time, the foreign minister reiterated Kyiv’s position on the need for an unconditional ceasefire along the entire front line.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regularly raises the issue of ending the war and has his own proposals for a settlement. The Kremlin also viewed New Delhi’s diplomatic efforts positively, but Moscow opposed an unconditional ceasefire, insisting on a broader peace agreement.

Ukraine, for its part, has repeatedly stated the need to end the war on terms that guarantee its sovereignty and security. In his response, Zelenskyy emphasized that Putin’s statements reveal the Russian leadership’s objectives regarding Ukraine. The president made these remarks during the Helsinki Security Forum.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian intelligence agencies had received intelligence indicating that Vladimir Putin had allegedly ordered the Russian military leadership to lift the restrictions that Moscow had adhered to during previous air campaigns.
