Ukraine is currently implementing two programs to develop ballistic missiles. If the stated specifications of the new designs are confirmed, they will be capable of striking military targets across a significant portion of Russia’s European territory, including the Moscow area.

According to UNN, these include the state-funded “Sapsan” (“Grim-2”) missile system with a claimed range of up to 500 km, as well as developments by the private company Fire Point—the FP-7 missile (up to 200 km) and the FP-9, which, according to the developers, will have a range of up to 855 km.

Fire Point reported that the FP-7 missile is already ready, while the FP-9 is in the final stages of development. Once development is complete, it is scheduled to undergo flight tests.

According to the publication’s assessment, a missile with a range of 855 km would potentially allow for striking targets across most of the European part of the Russian Federation. Depending on the launch site, Moscow, the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as dozens of enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, military airfields, and logistics facilities could fall within its range.

In particular, UNN lists among the potential targets enterprises in the rocket and space industry in the Moscow region, defense plants in the Bryansk, Voronezh, and Kaluga regions, as well as the “Engels-2,” “Shaykovka,” “Baltimore,” “Savasleika,” and other military facilities.

At the same time, there is currently no official information regarding the adoption of new Ukrainian ballistic missiles into service.

The Russian Red Cross has begun building up additional stockpiles of humanitarian aid for the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol following the declaration of a state of emergency on the peninsula.

On the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula, local residents report prolonged power outages, fuel shortages, rising prices, and problems with the functioning of social infrastructure. According to them, the situation is particularly dire in the northern regions of the peninsula.

As a reminder, Ukraine has claimed to have struck 19 Russian tankers carrying fuel for Crimea.
