Ukrainian weapons can strike any oil refinery in Russia — Zelenskyy
On July 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over the course of this week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out a series of successful long-range strikes against Russian targets supporting the war against Ukraine.
According to the head of state, Ukrainian drones reached Siberia for the first time and struck an oil refinery in Omsk, located nearly 2,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
“There is now not a single Russian oil refinery that Ukrainian weapons cannot reach,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The president also reported that Ukrainian strikes were carried out against oil facilities in the Saratov, Rostov, Tver, and Stavropol regions, the Krasnodar Krai, as well as in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, an airfield in the Voronezh region and a strategic facility in Tver were struck. Ukrainian drones also attacked targets in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Bryansk regions.
The president noted that the plan for long-range strikes against Russia’s military and fuel infrastructure is being carried out as intended, and he thanked all the units involved in carrying out these operations.
“Our plan for long-range strikes against Russia is being carried out precisely. Thank you to all the units involved for their accuracy!” Zelenskyy concluded.
As a reminder, the Omsk Oil Refinery—Russia’s largest refinery, owned by Gazprom Neft—completely halted oil processing following a drone attack on July 6.
The successful attack by Ukrainian drones on Russia’s largest oil refinery in Omsk marked an important milestone in the campaign of deep strikes against Russian territory.
