In Russia, satellites have detected new construction in Alabuga for the production of Shahed drones

Satellite images have captured active construction of new production facilities within the “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, where Russia has established large-scale production of “Shahed” attack drones.

The satellite images show that active construction is underway in the southern part of the special economic zone.

Several large, elongated structures have already been erected there, and new facilities are being built nearby, at various stages of completion.

According to Dnipro Osint, there are currently at least five large production buildings.

Internal roads and access roads have already been built near the buildings.

“There will be even more Shaheds,” the monitoring project’s report states.

At the same time, the exact purpose of the newly constructed facilities is currently unknown. However, construction work is taking place in an area where Russia has already launched large-scale production of attack drones.

The “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone is located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.

It is here that Russia manufactures attack drones, including the Russian version of the Iranian Shahed-136, known in Russia as the “Geran-2.”

Russia regularly uses these drones to launch massive attacks on Ukrainian territory.

Thus, the new construction in “Alabuga” may indicate an expansion of production capacity for strike UAVs, though the final purpose of the new buildings has not yet been determined.

This was reported by the monitoring project Dnipro Osint.
