Video: Drones Attacked Russia's Rostov Region

A drone attack was reported in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation on the night of September 18. The region is of strategic importance to the Russian occupation forces.

In Rostov-on-Don, heavy smoke filled the air in one of the districts as a result of the attack. It is likely that there was damage there.

The Rostov Region of the Russian Federation plays a strategic role for Russian occupation forces, serving as the main rear hub, command center, and military-logistical heart of the aggression against Ukraine.

It is in Rostov-on-Don that the headquarters of the Southern Military District is located, from which operational command of all Russian forces on the front lines is conducted. In addition, the region has a high concentration of military airfields (“Rostov-Central,” “Millerovo,” “Morozovsk”), which serve as bases for Su-30SM and Su-35 fighter jets, as well as Su-34 and Su-24M bombers that attack Ukrainian cities with guided bombs and missiles.

The region is a critically important supply artery: Heavy weapons, ammunition, and troops are supplied to the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions via the Millerovo, Bataysk, and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky railway hubs and by road. Fuel support for military equipment is provided by Rosrezerv bases (“Kavkaz” and “Atlas”) and the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Products Plant.

In the defense-industrial complex, a key facility is the Beriev Aircraft Maintenance Center in Taganrog, which services A-50 aircraft, alongside facilities for deploying and repairing UAVs.

Due to this concentration of strategic facilities, the Rostov Region remains a priority target for long-range strikes by Ukrainian forces, which regularly paralyze enemy logistics.

This is reported by Exilenova+ and Supernova+.

As a reminder, Russia struck a shopping center in Zaporizhzhia.

In Zaporizhzhia, the number of people injured as a result of a Russian FPV drone attack on a passenger bus has risen.

The enemy attacked a passenger bus in the Kosmichny district of Zaporizhzhia with an FPV drone. At the time of the attack, there were people inside the bus who were traveling on their way to run errands.
