Video: Drones Attacked Ports and a Military Training Ground in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation

On the night of July 6, drones struck several targets in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast. Two ports and a military training ground were targeted, resulting in fires at the sites.

According to the governor’s initial report, 47 drones were allegedly shot down over the region. Drozdzenko later updated the informationthe number of “shot down” drones rose to 56.

The governor subsequently confirmed the initial consequences of the attack. According to him, preliminary reports indicate damage to infrastructure facilities in three locations:

  • at the Luzhsk military training ground;
  • near the port of Ust-Luga;
  • near the port of Vysotsk.

Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s largest ports on the Baltic Sea, located in the Leningrad Oblast. A significant portion of Russia’s oil and petroleum product exports passes through it.

Vysotsk is another port terminal in the same region, which is also used for transshipping petroleum products and coal. Both facilities have been regularly targeted by drone strikes since March 2026.

Following a nighttime attack, restrictions on flight arrivals and departures were imposed at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. Some flights were temporarily delayed.
