On the night of September 30, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. The strike resulted in one fatality, several injuries, and power outages in the capital.

 

Social media reports describe a series of powerful explosions, after which Kyiv experienced power outages. Preliminary reports indicate that the power grid was targeted.

At 3:20 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote: “There is a fire in the Svyatoshynsky district in an area of private residential buildings. Emergency services are heading to the scene.”

At 3:30 a.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that a fire had broken out in a warehouse in the Holosiivskyi district. In the Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out in a store as a result of the attack.

As of 6:27 a.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the number of people injured as a result of the enemy strikes had risen to four.

“Unfortunately, it has been reported that one person died as a result of the enemy strikes. We extend our condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones,” the Kyiv City Military Administration stated.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following the Russian Federation’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
