Video: Russians Have Begun Using Manually Controlled Shahed Drones More Frequently
Russian occupiers have changed their tactics for deploying attack drones. They have increasingly moved away from massive attacks using “Shahed”-type drones in favor of isolated, more sophisticated strikes carried out under manual control.
These conclusions were drawn by Serhiy Beskrestnov, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on the development of defense technologies, who goes by the call sign “Flash.”
“Shaheds are increasingly shifting away from mass attack tactics toward isolated but sophisticated strikes carried out in manual control mode,” “Flash” reported.
He published a video showing a “Shahed” descending to an altitude of 22 meters to strike its target, in order to evade detection by Ukrainian radar systems and interceptor drones.
“The plan was to evade detection by our radar and interceptors. But our guys handled it. Every move the enemy makes requires us to quickly adapt our countermeasures,” the presidential adviser noted.
As a reminder, on the night of July 18, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine, using seven missiles and 90 strike drones.
As a result of the Russian strike with a guided aerial bomb on Izyum in the Kharkiv region on July 17, the number of casualties rose to seven.
On July 17, Russian troops struck a fire and rescue station in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast.
