Video: Drones attacked Europe's largest chemical plant in Russia
In the Russian city of Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast, a massive fire broke out on the premises of the JSC “Apatit” facility following a drone attack.
The facility, which is part of the PhosAgro Group’s chemical cluster, is a strategically important industrial hub where intense burning began following the explosions.
JSC “Apatit” is officially considered Europe’s largest producer of phosphorus-containing fertilizers, as well as phosphoric and sulfuric acids.
In addition, the plant holds a leading position in Russia in terms of production volumes of complex NPK fertilizers, making it a critical component of the Russian economy.

Local residents are sharing videos from the scene online, accompanied by comments noting that such a fire is unusual for the production process: “To give you an idea of the situation, there shouldn’t be a fire there, but everything is burning. Local residents are running away.”
According to eyewitnesses, the incident was accompanied by the sounds of drones flying and subsequent powerful explosions on the industrial site.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed, but a column of smoke from the fire at the chemical giant is visible many kilometers from the epicenter.
As a reminder, drones attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in the Leningrad region.
Drones also attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.
