Fighters from the Nemesis Independent Unmanned Systems Brigade struck a rare Russian remote-mining engineering system, the “Zemledelie,” in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
Using drones, Ukrainian troops struck enemy equipment used by the occupiers to create minefields on the battlefield. The system is one of the Russian army’s latest developments.
“The strike was carried out by an FPV drone, followed by a second strike, which caused the enemy target to burst into flames,” the military noted.
The “Zemledelie” system was first demonstrated in 2020 at a parade in Moscow.
This system is used to rapidly create minefields at a distance of 5–15 kilometers.
“Zemledelie” fires rocket-propelled projectiles that lay mines in a specific area. The loss of each such vehicle is a significant blow to the Russian army’s logistics and engineering capabilities, as the system is based on a heavy-duty KamAZ chassis and features a complex computerized control system for automatically mapping minefields.
The brigade reported this on Facebook, where it also posted a video of the vehicle in action.
Over the past 24 hours, 244 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Ukrainian forces continue to repel the advance of Russian occupation forces, inflicting losses on the enemy in both personnel and equipment.
On the night of July 14, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, guided air-to-ground missiles, and attack drones. Air defense forces intercepted five ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 missiles, and 108 enemy drones.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s drone forces have struck or destroyed 1,559 Russian military targets, including 15 enemy vessels.
