Five people killed in attack on Zaporizhzhia

On 20 November at 10:10 pm, Zaporizhzhia was struck by Russian forces, killing five people and injuring three.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Initially, two fatalities were reported, but later the number of dead increased. After the shelling, fires broke out, which were extinguished by State Emergency Service teams.

Emergency workers continue to operate at the scene, checking the area for explosive devices. State Emergency Service psychologists provided assistance to 12 people affected by the attack. This incident is yet another confirmation of Russia’s aggression against the civilian population of Ukraine, as Zaporizhzhia has already been subjected to several attacks over the past month.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the strike caused fires in retail kiosks and in a passenger car.

On the night of 21 November, Russian troops carried out a strike on Odesa, injuring four people.
