In May, more than a thousand invaders were killed by Ukrainian Armed Forces engineering barriers
During May 2026, 1,099 Russian invaders were killed at the engineering barriers set up by all units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 119 pieces of enemy weaponry and military equipment, as well as 36 other targets.
Engineer units are systematically reinforcing barriers both directly in front of the defensive front line and deep within territory temporarily occupied by the enemy. To this end, units are actively employing modern technologies, including unmanned aerial vehicles and ground-based robotic remote-mining systems. This approach allows for blocking the occupiers’ advance routes, creating new defensive lines, and inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the invaders during their attempts to conduct offensive operations.
The use of unmanned and robotic systems ensures high speed, precision, and safety for the personnel of Ukrainian engineering units. All confirmed strike results are recorded in real time and promptly entered into the Delta situational awareness system, which guarantees the objectivity and complete reliability of the statistical data.
This was reported by Maksym Kravchuk, spokesperson for the Support Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose statement was cited by the Ukrinform news agency.
