Russian losses in Ukraine since the beginning of the year have exceeded 300,000 troops
Since the beginning of 2026, the Russian army has lost more than 300,000 troops killed and wounded. In terms of scale, this is comparable to the strength of nearly 150 Russian motorized rifle regiments, according to the General Staff.
Since the start of the year, the aggressor country’s army has lost 301,030 soldiers killed or wounded.
“To put this into perspective: this number is comparable to the personnel strength of nearly 150 motorized rifle regiments, assuming each regiment has approximately 2,000 servicemen,” the statement reads.
The General Staff emphasized that such significant enemy losses were the result of effective combat operations by all components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Russians suffered their heaviest losses this year during the three summer months. In total, over the summer, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized 124,170 Russian servicemen:
- in June—39,290 people;
- in July—42,860 people;
- in August — 42,020 personnel.
The high rate of enemy casualties continues this month—as of the morning of September 15, Russian occupiers have already lost 20,360 personnel.

Earlier, Russia attacked Izyum with KAB missiles; among the casualties was a two-month-old infant.
On September 10, in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynsky District, a drone crashed in an open area in the woods near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no casualties.
In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
