Over the past week, rescue workers and police responded to more than 1,300 calls to address the aftermath of Russian attacks on Ukraine. The shelling damaged more than 1,000 residential buildings, as well as dozens of civilian infrastructure facilities.
According to the minister, Russian troops used thousands of drones, aerial bombs, and missiles throughout the week, striking primarily civilian targets.
“Residential neighborhoods, shopping centers, gas stations, and railway facilities. The Russians launched thousands of drones, aerial bombs, and missiles, mostly at civilian targets. Their goal is to instill terror and make normal life impossible,” the statement reads.
Over the course of the week, more than 1,000 ordinary residential buildings were recorded as having sustained significant damage.
In addition, 25 educational institutions, 15 hospitals, and about 20 gas stations were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
Ivan Vyhovskyi noted that after each attack, dozens of employees from various departments are mobilized to respond.
“Dozens of our employees are involved in dealing with the aftermath of each such shelling: rescue workers, police investigators, patrol officers, and National Guard members. K-9 units, bomb disposal experts, and psychologists are regularly deployed, and mobile service centers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are dispatched,” Vygivsky emphasized.
As a result, more than 1,300 call-outs per week were related to documenting attacks, searching for people, clearing debris, and dealing with the aftermath of Russian strikes.
At the same time, Ukrainian services continue to work at the sites of the attacks to restore damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible and assist those affected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 17 settlements in the Sumy region. As a result of the enemy attacks, one person was killed and five others were wounded.
On the night of September 14, Russian troops carried out another airstrike on Ukraine. The occupiers launched 108 attack drones of various types, and Ukrainian air defenses destroyed or intercepted 85 enemy targets.
In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 14 others were wounded as a result of Russian attacks over the past 24 hours. Russian troops used aircraft, attack drones, and artillery.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 876 strikes on 54 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. One person was killed in the attacks, and four more residents were wounded.
Overnight, Russian forces struck Izyum in the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs. Three people were injured in the attack, including a two-month-old infant.
In addition, Russian forces attacked a vehicle belonging to a REM repair crew in the Konotop district of the Sumy region. The workers were on their way to the site of a power line damage to carry out repairs.
On September 10, in the Svyatoshynsky district of Kyiv, a drone crashed in an open area in the woods near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no injuries.
In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the consequences of the incident.
