On May 13, Zakarpattia Oblast experienced Russia’s most intense attack since the start of the full-scale invasion. Explosions were heard across the region, and several waves of enemy drones were detected in the airspace. An air raid alert is currently in effect in the region; residents are urged to remain in shelters and not to ignore the danger signals.
This was reported with reference to a Telegram post by Myroslav Biletsky, head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
"The most massive attack on Transcarpathia since the start of the full-scale invasion is underway," he said.
According to the head of the Regional State Administration, explosions were heard in several communities across the region. Details regarding the consequences of the attack will be provided later.
The air raid alert in the region remains in effect. Authorities have urged residents of the region to remain in shelters and not to ignore danger signals.
Starting at 4:00 p.m., Russian drones were detected in the airspace over Zakarpattia. Later, the Air Force reported UAV movement toward Mukachevo.
Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration announced new aerial targets within the region.
"Three more aerial targets have been detected within Transcarpathia! Do not ignore the air raid alert! Stay in safe places," Biletsky wrote.
