Zaporizhzhia NPP was left without external power for about 30 minutes
During the night of December 6, another blackout occurred at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is occupied by Russian terrorist forces: the station was without external power for about 30 minutes. This is already the eleventh complete loss of power since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
This was reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The outage lasted half an hour — power has now been restored to the plant via the 330 kV “Ferrosplavna” overhead transmission line. Meanwhile, the 750 kV “Dniprovska” line has still not been reconnected to the plant.
Earlier, on November 14, the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP lost power from one of its transmission lines. That line was restored four days later, on November 19.
As a reminder, the protective arch (sarcophagus) of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant can no longer fully perform its main function due to damage inflicted by a Russian drone.
