This morning, August 18, through 6:30 p.m., Russian terrorists launched 76 rocket-powered unmanned aerial vehicles toward Ukraine. Our brave defenders shot down and neutralized more than 70 of them.
The Russian occupiers targeted the Kyiv region as the
main focus of their attack.
According to preliminary data from the Ukrainian Air Force Command, air defense forces managed to shoot down and neutralize more than 70 enemy jet-powered UAVs.
However, UAV strikes and the crashes of downed drones have been recorded at several locations. Details are being verified.
“After 6:30 p.m., more than twenty additional jet-powered UAVs entered Ukrainian airspace! Combat operations are ongoing; do not ignore safety rules!” the statement said.
As a reminder, on August 18, a fire broke out at warehouses in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region following an attack by a Russian drone.
The Kyiv Metro has made changes to train schedules on the Red and Green lines.
In the capital, air raid alerts were issued nine times on August 18 due to the threat of UAVs.
