The Ukrainian Armed Forces have halted Russian advances on several fronts, according to the ISW
On August 23 and 24, Russian troops continued their offensive operations on several fronts, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces prevented the occupiers from achieving significant territorial gains.
In the north of the Kharkiv region, Russian troops continued their offensive on August 23 and 24 but were unable to advance due to counterattacks by Ukrainian forces.
In particular, on August 23, a Russian military blogger reported a counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Vovchansk.
In the direction of Velykyi Burluk, the occupiers also carried out limited offensive operations but were unsuccessful.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians continued assault operations on August 23 and 24, but no confirmed enemy advances were recorded.
In the Borovsk direction, the occupiers also carried out limited attacks without success. At the same time, geolocation data from August 23 confirms that Ukrainian forces are holding their positions near Novoplatonivka, despite Russian claims of alleged advances.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck Russian fuel and logistics infrastructure in the occupied Luhansk region. On August 24, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of supply depots in Stepne and Khrustalne.
In the Sloviansk sector, the situation was different—Ukrainian forces have recently advanced.
According to the ISW, geolocation data confirms the movement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces east of Dibrova and southwest of Lyman.
On the Kostiantynivka–Druzhkivka tactical front, Russian troops continued offensive operations on August 23 and 24, but no confirmed advances were recorded.
In the Dobropillia area, the occupiers also carried out attacks without confirmed success.
Offensive operations by Russian forces on the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Oleksandrivka axes on August 23–24 also failed to yield any territorial gains for the enemy.
At the same time, Ukrainian forces continued to launch medium-range strikes against Russian military targets in the occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast.
Thus, according to the ISW’s assessment, over the past two days, Russian forces have been unable to make significant advances on most fronts, while Ukrainian forces have made localized advances near Lyman.

Over the past 24 hours, on August 24, 209 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines, with the highest number occurring in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors. Russian forces carried out 22 attacks on the Pokrovsk direction and 14 on the Kostiantynivka direction.
As a reminder, Russia attacked warehouses and energy infrastructure in the Odesa region.
Earlier, drones attacked Ozon logistics centers in two regions of the Russian Federation.
Drones also struck Krasnodar, causing a fire at a warehouse.
Earlier, warehouses caught fire in Akulovo, near Moscow.
