US Chevron and Quantum Capital Group prepare to acquire Lukoil’s international assets for $22 billion
American energy corporation Chevron and investment firm Quantum Capital Group are preparing to purchase the international assets of the Russian oil giant Lukoil, valued at $22 billion. This valuation comes directly from Lukoil itself. The portfolio includes oil and gas production facilities, a refinery, and over 2,000 gas stations located across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The White House has expressed support for the deal, according to an American official.
This strategic partnership allows Chevron and Quantum Capital Group to strengthen their positions in the global energy market by acquiring significant Lukoil assets outside Russia. The deal reflects U.S. interest in stabilizing and diversifying oil and gas supplies amid geopolitical tensions.
If successfully completed, the transaction could significantly reshape the energy market landscape in key regions and enhance the influence of American companies in a strategically critical sector.
