Ogun State APC to inaugurate campaign council on September 17, 2026
The Ogun State chapter of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC) will inaugurate a newly formed campaign council on September 17. According to Premium Times Nigeria, the party is thus intensifying preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Event in Abeokuta
The ceremony will take place at the June 12 Cultural Centre in the Kuto area of Abeokuta. Members of committees and structures formed to coordinate the APC’s election campaign in the state are expected to attend.
The state party chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, in a statement circulated in Abeokuta, instructed council members to arrive at the venue by 8:30. The programme is scheduled to begin at 10:00.

Tasks of the council
Sanusi described the inauguration of the council as an important stage in the party’s mobilisation and campaign work. He urged its members to carry out their duties responsibly and with discipline, and to jointly strengthen party structures at the local level.
The APC chairman also called on participants to communicate the party’s position on its achievements, programmes and vision to Ogun State residents. According to him, persistent work, effective coordination and constant engagement with people are necessary to gain voters’ trust and support.
