Yemen army claims 414 attacks on Houthi targets in one day — Anadolu Agency

The Yemeni army said it had carried out 414 attacks on Houthi targets across various fronts over the past 24 hours. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing military spokesperson Majed al-Nuzaili and the state-run Saba agency.

Targets of the operations

According to al-Nuzaili, the operations targeted Houthi reinforcements and their military capabilities in several directions. The spokesperson said the attacks caused losses among Houthi fighters and their military equipment but did not provide specific figures.

The Houthis did not immediately comment on these claims by the Yemeni army.

Previous military statements

A day earlier, Yemen's Ministry of Defense said government forces had conducted 356 operations against Houthi targets on ten fronts. According to the ministry, 476 members of the group were killed or wounded as a result of these operations.

The conflict in Yemen has continued since 2014, when the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces. After that, in 2015, a Saudi Arabia-led coalition intervened in support of Yemen's internationally recognized government.

In September, hostilities intensified: the Houthis took control of several important areas in the Al Hudaydah and Taiz provinces, including the strategic city of Mocha, and also reached Mayyun Island, which opens onto the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
