Ahmadiyya Association urges protection of Ghana’s resources — MyJoyOnline
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association in Ghana has urged young people to uphold moral principles, respect the rights of others, and protect the country’s natural resources. The appeal was made in Kumasi during the 45th annual national Ijtema gathering of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana, MyJoyOnline reports.
Three-day meeting in Kumasi
The three-day event was attended by young men aged 15 to 40 from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, and Togo. The gathering took place at T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi.
The program included prayers, religious and academic competitions, as well as sporting events, including football and table tennis. According to the organizers, the Ijtema is intended to strengthen faith, discipline, brotherhood, and a sense of responsibility among young members of the community and prepare them to make a meaningful contribution to society.

Responsible use of resources
Alhassan Ofori, Vice President of the Middle Sector of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana, said that young people play an important role in shaping responsible leadership and national development. According to him, African leaders, including Kwame Nkrumah, sought unity and progress, and young people should contribute to this through responsible leadership and service to society.
Ofori also stressed that people entrusted with state resources must use them responsibly and be accountable to the people. He called on those involved in illegal mining to consider the impact of such activities on the environment and future generations. He also urged young people to remain moral and responsible in their communities.
