Airlines continue cancelling flights to Dubai — The National

International airlines continue to adjust flight schedules to Dubai in the UAE and other Middle Eastern cities due to airspace restrictions following the war with Iran. Some carriers have extended flight suspensions until 2027, while others are gradually resuming certain routes, The National (UAE) reports.

Air Canada has extended the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai until the end of March 2027. Cathay Pacific will not fly to Dubai and Riyadh until January 31, 2027, while Finnair has extended the suspension of flights to Dubai and Doha until March 27, 2027. Virgin Atlantic said its flights to Dubai will remain suspended until October 2027.

Flights suspended until October

Air France has suspended flights to Riyadh and Dubai until October 24, while regularly scheduled flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut have already resumed. Until the same date, Wizz Air will not operate flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi; Singapore Airlines, ITA Airways and AirBaltic will not fly to Dubai; and KLM will not operate flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Dubai.

Philippine Airlines has resumed the Manila–Doha route, but flights to Dubai remain suspended until October 2. Low-cost carrier Scoot has suspended flights between Singapore and Jeddah until October 7. Korean Air has extended the suspension of its regular Incheon–Dubai service for an indefinite period.

Gradual resumption of routes

Lufthansa Group plans to resume flights to Dubai in late October. Lufthansa is set to launch the Munich–Dubai route on October 25 and the Frankfurt–Dubai route on October 26, while Swiss will resume daily Zurich–Dubai service from October 27. Austrian Airlines plans to resume Vienna–Dubai flights on December 12, while Eurowings plans to resume flights from Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne in early November.

British Airways is set to resume daily London–Dubai flights on November 3. The airline plans to resume flights to Abu Dhabi only in the winter of 2027–2028, while flights to Bahrain will remain suspended until the end of March 2027. Turkish Airlines has already resumed flights to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Damascus, Beirut and Amman, but flights to Tehran remain suspended.

Carriers advise passengers to check flight status directly before travelling. Several companies offer affected customers rebooking, rerouting or refunds in accordance with ticket conditions.
