The Tate brothers are in custody in the US and face seven additional rape charges

Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate are being held in custody in the United States as part of extradition proceedings to the United Kingdom. British prosecutors have filed 38 new charges against them, bringing the total number of charges against the brothers to 59.

 

According to the Crown Prosecution Service of the United Kingdom, Andrew Tate faces seven new charges of rape, three for organizing or facilitating human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, three for causing bodily harm, and 19 charges related to indecent images of children and extreme pornography.

Tristan Tate has been charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of organizing or facilitating human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. In total, Andrew Tate currently faces 42 charges, and Tristan faces 17.

According to British law enforcement, the alleged offenses occurred between July 2010 and August 2017. After receiving additional evidence from the Bedfordshire Police, the number of reported victims in this case rose to seven.

The brothers were arrested by U.S. Marshals on July 18, 2026, in Miami. British prosecutors have requested their extradition to the United Kingdom to face both new and previously filed charges.

Andrew and Tristan Tate hold dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom. Both deny the charges. The criminal proceedings are ongoing, and the charges do not constitute a finding of guilt by a court.
