In particular, the highest number of casualties was recorded in Burj al-Shamali, where 14 people were killed, including two children and three women, and 16 people were injured. The strikes also killed five people in Kawtarit Al-Raz, four in Habush, six in Ma'arakeh, and two in Salaa. In most of these locations, minors and women were also among the wounded and killed.
For its part, the Israel Defense Forces previously stated that it continues to target infrastructure and militants of the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli military command, their units eliminated militants who were carrying out offensive operations against Israeli soldiers and destroyed infrastructure used for launching rockets.
