Four Ukrainian citizens remain on board the MV Hondius
Some of the Ukrainian citizens currently on board the cruise ship "MV Hondius" continue to perform their duties as part of the crew.
This was reported by Suspilne.
They will ensure the safe passage of the ship to the coast of the Netherlands, where the current mission is scheduled to conclude.
Upon the ship’s arrival at its destination port, Ukrainians will undergo mandatory medical procedures. As reported to journalists by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, upon arrival at the port, they are scheduled to undergo medical examinations and quarantine.
Currently, the diplomatic service is paying special attention to those who are leaving the ship earlier than others as part of planned measures.
Ukrainian consular officials are in contact with a Ukrainian citizen who is to leave the ship as part of a partial evacuation of the crew via a special flight to the Netherlands.
The health condition of the Ukrainian sailors does not cause concern among doctors and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
Official sources confirm that no signs of illness have been detected among Ukrainian citizens at this time, and the crew is adhering to all necessary safety protocols.
Coordination of actions regarding the return or continued stay of the sailors abroad is being carried out by several agencies simultaneously.
The situation is being monitored by the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as by Ukrainian diplomatic missions in the Netherlands and Spain and the Consulate of Ukraine in Malaga.
Ensuring the rights and safety of Ukrainian seafarers is a priority for diplomats in this region.
Regular monitoring of the situation allows for a prompt response to any changes in the crew’s health or the vessel’s schedule.
