Four aircraft fought a fire near Tala in Cyprus — Cyprus Mail
A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in the hard-to-reach Vatoutkia area near Tala in the Paphos district of Cyprus. The blaze engulfed dry grass, low wild vegetation and several trees.
Report received during the day
Cyprus Mail reported this, citing the fire service. The fire in the Vatoutkia area was reported at 12:54. Five fire engines from Paphos arrived at the scene and assisted the forestry department responsible for the area.

Wind and terrain complicated firefighting
The terrain and strong winds complicated efforts to extinguish the fire. Four aircraft were deployed to drop water on the blaze.
Additional personnel were also called in. Authorities continued efforts to contain the fire and prevent its further spread.
