More than 20,000 people from 100 countries repatriated to Israel in a year — Jerusalem Post
More than 20,000 new repatriates from over 100 countries arrived in Israel during the Jewish year 5786, which lasted from September 23, 2025, to September 3, 2026. This is stated in a report by Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and the Jewish Agency, the Jerusalem Post reports.
The largest number of repatriates came from Russia — 5,685 people. France follows, with 4,364 people relocating, and the United States with 3,333. A total of 975 new repatriates arrived from the United Kingdom, 797 from Ukraine, 491 from Belarus, 440 from Canada, 247 from Australia, 243 from Argentina, and 241 from Georgia.
Age of new repatriates
People aged 18 to 35 accounted for 35% of all arrivals. The report notes that they included doctors and specialists in in-demand professions. Another 24% were children and teenagers under 17, who have already been integrated into Israel’s education system.

Repatriates aged 36 to 50 accounted for 18%, those aged 51 to 60 for 9%, and those aged 61 to 65 for 5%. People aged 66 and older accounted for 10%. The oldest repatriates of the year were two 102-year-olds who arrived from Russia and France. The youngest was a two-week-old baby who moved with their family from Mexico.
Cities of residence
About 31% of new repatriates settled in localities north of Hadera or south of Ashdod. A total of 3,862 people moved north of Hadera, while 2,247 moved south of Ashdod.
The largest number of newcomers chose Tel Aviv — 2,762 people. It was followed by Netanya with 2,224 repatriates, Jerusalem with 2,134, and Haifa with 1,504. A total of 1,042 people arrived in Raanana, 957 in Bat Yam, 846 in Ashdod, 680 in Beit Shemesh, 534 in Ashkelon, and 450 in Rishon LeZion.
