Expert: Greenland security agreement gives US no significant new rights — France 24
The United States, Denmark and Greenland itself have signed an agreement on Greenland’s security. Mikaa Blugeon-Mered, a senior researcher on hydrogen and the Arctic, said in an interview with France 24 that the document is unlikely to grant the United States many additional rights.

Concerns about China
According to the researcher, US President Donald Trump wanted at all costs to prevent even a small risk that Greenland could lean toward China. The expert also noted that exaggerating the risk for Trump’s voters could draw attention to the issue and show that the authorities are taking action.
