The EU is preparing new sanctions against Russia and is trying to help the Oleshkas – Kallas
The European Union is preparing a new, large-scale package of sanctions against Russia and is working to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the occupied city of Oleshky in the Kherson region. This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
According to her, the humanitarian crisis in the blockaded town demonstrates why statements about the possibility of “ceding territory” fail to take into account the fate of the people living there. Kallas emphasized that this is not about land, but about the people suffering under occupation.
She stressed that the European Union will continue to do everything possible to organize humanitarian deliveries and assist Ukraine in protecting its citizens.
