Photo: Israel has completely destroyed a heavy-water production facility in Iran
Satellite images have revealed extensive damage to an Iranian heavy-water production plant in the city of Khondab following Israeli strikes.
This is evidenced by satellite imagery from Airbus.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had previously confirmed the extent of the damage and noted that the plant is no longer operational.
The images show how the facility was dismantled in stages: first during a 12-day campaign last year, and now it has been completely destroyed.
As a reminder, as a result of an attack during the armed conflict in the Middle East, a plant that supported Iran’s nuclear program was put out of commission.
Recall that in Iran, a shell struck the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant; the IAEA and Rosatom are calling for de-escalation.
There was also a dispute in the UN Security Council over Iran’s nuclear program.
