Richmond Amoateng Foundation supports youth and the Juaben community in Ghana — MyJoyOnline

The Richmond Amoateng Foundation in Juaben, Ghana, is implementing programs for youth development and strengthening community cohesion. The initiatives cover education, sports, social support and the involvement of diaspora representatives, MyJoyOnline reports.

The organization works with local leaders, including H/W Kusi and Samuel Aikins. One of the foundation's main projects is the annual December in Juaben festival, which brings together families, community residents and people from Juaben living abroad. The event is dedicated to shared heritage and strengthening ties among community members.

Support for children and sports events

As part of the Christmas holidays, the foundation organized a feeding program for 5,000 children. It was held to support children and families in the community during the festive period.

The organization also held a football tournament at Easter involving teams from different communities. The tournament gave young people an opportunity to interact and was aimed at developing teamwork, friendship and unity.

Education and ties with the diaspora

The foundation held a breakfast meeting for former BECE participants to motivate them to focus on their studies and improve their academic performance. Separately, representatives of the organization visited the United Kingdom, where they discussed with the Juaben Association opportunities for diaspora members and other stakeholders to participate in Juaben's youth development.

The foundation said that its programs focus on youth development, education, sports, social welfare, community cohesion and partnerships with the diaspora.
