Harry and Meghan Plan to Return to the U.K. This Month — The Guardian
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to return to live in the United Kingdom with their two children six years after moving to the United States. The Guardian reports this, citing the Daily Telegraph.
According to the Telegraph, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet are expected to move later this month to a residence not affiliated with the royal family. It is likely located outside of London. The publication also reported that the children have been enrolled in school, where they are set to begin classes in September.
According to the Telegraph, King Charles III was informed of his son and daughter-in-law’s decision on Sunday. Last month, the Sussexes, who have been living in California since 2020, met with the king at the Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.

According to the publication, Charles III welcomes the opportunity to see his family more often in private. At the same time, Harry and Meghan’s status as private citizens will not change after they stepped down from their official roles within the royal family. The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of this decision, according to The Telegraph.
The couple is expected to keep their homes in Montecito, California, and Portugal, where they vacationed earlier this summer. Details regarding the family’s security arrangements have not been disclosed. Security concerns were previously the reason Harry did not bring Meghan and the children to events in London last month, although this had originally been planned.
Prince Harry had previously stated that he would not feel safe bringing his family to the United Kingdom without police protection.
