Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Afridi to visit Rawalpindi
In Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi plans to address members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party on September 16. The visit was planned along his route from Lahore to Peshawar to mobilize supporters ahead of a protest in Islamabad scheduled for September 27.
Route to Peshawar
According to Dawn, Afridi will travel from Lahore via the Grand Trunk Road. Chaudhry Amir Afzal Khan, president of PTI's Rawalpindi district chapter, said that on the way to Peshawar, the chief minister is also expected to address party members in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum and Rawalpindi.

Gathering points in Rawalpindi
To welcome Afridi, PTI plans to set up three gathering points on the main roads of Rawalpindi district: in Gujar Khan, Rawat and Khayaban-i-Sir Syed on Karnal Sher Khan Road.
According to Khan, Afridi wanted to visit Rawalpindi city and the Mall area. However, the local party chapter told him that Peshawar Road and the Mall would be inaccessible due to construction work at Race Course Park.
