Iran is prepared to seize the coastlines of the UAE and Bahrain in a future war

Iran is prepared to seize the coastlines of the UAE and Bahrain in a future war

Morteza Simari, an Iranian national security analyst, stated that Tehran is prepared for a radical shift in the regional landscape. According to him, in the event of any military misstep by the United States, the Iranian armed forces are ready to advance to the coastlines of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Simari made this statement on the state-run IRIB television channel, according to Middle East Eye.

Simari emphasized that Iran’s new strategy calls for an immediate and harsh response to any threats to the country’s sovereignty.

Threats to seize territories of neighboring states came amid the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the escalation of the conflict in the Persian Gulf. The analyst noted that the current geopolitical situation allows Iran to act on the principle of preemptive strikes against targets that the U.S. or its allies could use for aggression. Earlier, representatives of the Iranian military command also warned of the possibility of strikes against the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah if its territory becomes a staging ground for an invasion of the islands of Abu Musa and Greater Tunb.

Simari’s statements coincide with an intensification of strikes by Iranian drones and missiles against strategic targets in the region, which has already drawn condemnation from the UN Security Council. The international community is expressing concern over a possible complete blockade of energy routes and the direct involvement of Arab monarchies in a major regional war. According to experts, Tehran’s aggressive rhetoric is aimed at driving U.S. military forces out of the region and establishing full Iranian control over the waters of the Persian Gulf—an action comparable in scale to Russia’s aggression in Europe.

The Iranian leadership rejected the U.S. proposal for a “framework” of a potential agreement to end the war.
