Tusk called the coming months decisive for the security of Ukraine and all of Europe
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the coming fall and winter could prove decisive not only for Ukraine’s independence, but also for the security of Poland and the entire free world. The politician called on the West to unite and show solidarity in order to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past and to prevent threats from Russian aggression.
The head of the Polish government emphasized the need to learn from the events of 1939, recalling the shared responsibility of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union for unleashing World War II due to the world’s helpless policies at the time.
According to Tusk, the key lesson of history is that democratic countries must be strong, rely on their own capabilities, and form effective alliances, because 87 years after the start of that war, evil once again threatens the security of European nations.
