Iran announces halt to attacks on neighbouring countries unless provoked

The interim governing council of Iran has decided to refrain from attacking neighbouring countries or launching missile strikes unless provoked from their territories, announced President Masud Pezeshkian. This decision comes amid escalating regional tensions and recent major US airstrikes.

According to reports, the US launched the largest bombing campaign on Iran in years, deploying its full arsenal including reserves intended for a potential third world war. Iran continues to retaliate with counterstrikes. Meanwhile, the US Navy’s third aircraft carrier is preparing for deployment to the Middle East, where daily military expenditures have surpassed $1 billion.

The resolution of the conflict remains uncertain, with possibilities ranging from further escalation to diplomatic efforts unfolding soon.
