Iran has presented the U.S. with a plan to end the war within 30 days — AP

The Iranian government has sent the United States a 14-point proposal calling for an end to hostilities within a month. The plan includes demands for the complete lifting of U.S. sanctions, an end to the naval blockade of Iranian ports, and the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the region.

The Associated Press reported this, citing its own sources.

The document also demands an immediate cessation of all military operations, including Israel’s actions in Lebanon. At the same time, the Iranian side has completely ignored the issue of limiting its nuclear program and uranium enrichment, which is one of Washington’s key demands. This stance makes the document more of an ultimatum than a compromise plan for resolving the conflict.

On May 2, President Donald Trump confirmed that he is reviewing the document but expressed skepticism about the possibility of reaching an agreement. He emphasized that the Iranian regime has yet to pay the proper price for its actions over the past 47 years. An official response from the White House is currently being prepared, but Washington’s rhetoric points to a continuation of the policy of maximum pressure rather than a quick reconciliation.

Iran has announced plans for strict control over the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil passes. Ships from “hostile countries” may be allowed passage only after paying compensation.

The Iranian government has decided to cut oil production due to the U.S. naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, which has significantly limited its ability to trade. At the same time, Tehran was prepared in advance for developments following this scenario.
