Iran has threatened the U.S. with a military response and set a deadline — Reuters
Iran has given the U.S. several weeks to comply with the terms of the preliminary agreement, threatening a military response should diplomatic negotiations fail.
According to a high-ranking Iranian official, the negotiation process has effectively reached an impasse, and the expected resumption of oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has not taken place.
Tehran has declared its readiness for escalation not only in the Strait but also in the wider region. Should diplomacy fail, Iran threatens to launch a “timely and precise” military strike to break the naval blockade.
At the same time, Tehran has set a strict deadline of several weeks for Washington. During this time, the U.S. must fulfill all the provisions of the previous agreement—only then will Iran be ready to resume negotiations.
Iranian officials have instructed mediators to convey the deadline to Washington and other countries in the region.

The heavy losses of Reaper drones in the war with Iran highlight one of the main challenges of modern warfare: even an expensive, high-tech drone can quickly become vulnerable when operating against an enemy with a powerful air defense system. The Washington Post reports on this.
The U.S. has sufficient military resources to maintain a naval blockade of Iran indefinitely. U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth stated that American ships can continuously rotate in the region, so Washington is capable of maintaining pressure on Tehran for as long as necessary.
