Zelenskyy is preparing personnel decisions to strengthen the front-line defenses
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that personnel decisions are being prepared to strengthen defenses along the most intense sections of the front.
Following a briefing by the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they discussed the protection of cities, communities, and frontline logistics from Russian drones. According to the president, resources and organizational capabilities in these areas need to be further strengthened.
Special attention was paid to the situation in the Donetsk region, particularly in the Kostiantynivka area and along the Sloviansk and Pokrovsk sectors. The Ukrainian side also received updated intelligence on Russian military operations and is preparing countermeasures.
In addition, Zelenskyy announced the confirmation of Ukraine’s long-range operation priorities for the coming weeks and for September.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Mykola Shvydkyi as Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that he has no moral right to engage in any other matters except to return to his post.
