In Izyum, electricity and water service cannot be fully restored by the end of the day following the Russian Federation’s attacks
In Izyum, due to the effects of massive Russian strikes, it will not be possible to fully restore electricity and water service by the end of the day. The city is also experiencing problems with mobile service; specialists are currently reconfiguring equipment to stabilize the networks.
Restoration of power lines in damaged areas is proceeding gradually, but due to the extensive damage, it will not be possible to complete the work within the day. In addition, cleanup efforts following the shelling continue in residential areas—the repair of damaged electrical circuits in single-family and apartment buildings will continue into the next day, given the scale of the damage, the security situation, and weather conditions.
This was reported by the Izyum City Military Administration.
As of 4:23 p.m. on Tuesday, the number of casualties from the massive airstrike on Izyum had risen to 11 people.
Russian forces struck the city overnight and in the morning of September 15. In Izyum, private homes, apartment buildings, and an administrative building were damaged, as were water supply networks and power lines. Due to the destruction of infrastructure, part of the city currently remains without electricity and water.
