Iran stated that it had considered striking Ukraine following the attack on its ship

Iran stated that, following the attack on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, it had considered the possibility of striking Ukraine. At the same time, Tehran reportedly abandoned that plan.

According to Iranian officials, the decision not to carry out the attack was made for specific reasons, though no specific details have been disclosed at this time. There is no independent confirmation of the alleged preparations for a strike.

Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei stated that he had considered striking three targets on Ukrainian territory.

However, he said the plan was abandoned after Ukraine allegedly apologized.

“We were ready to strike three targets on Ukrainian territory, but after the country apologized, we called off the attack,” he said.

As the publication notes, Rezaei’s remarks came amid threats from Tehran to retaliate for an attack in late July on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea.

This was reported with reference to Ynet.

A Chinese prophet claimed that the U.S. will not defeat Iran.

Trump threatened Iran with total surrender over its nuclear program.

As a reminder, on August 2, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. military would not launch new strikes against Iran if Washington and Tehran reach an agreement in the near future.

Tehran has threatened to strike the energy infrastructure of other countries if the U.S. carries out new attacks. Officials in Tehran stated that the response would be directed not only against American interests but also against countries that support potential military action.
